ivanerik Great EP, I can't recommend this enough :-) It sounds like things have really gelled together as a band and the music has moved on in depth and variety since the last album. Brilliant stuff, love the title track. Looking forward to picking up a CD too maybe, as soon as gigs become viable again post-Covid. Favorite track: Double Exposure.

Argyria 02:30
Silver dust for a blue-grey skin Phoenician jugs are filled to the brim Superbug killer past its prime Hippocrates can’t travel in time Argyria, can you feel her? Argyria, oh so near Liberty Jones with his silver skin A silver tongue of bad medicine Nanotech robots watch your back Alternative remedies ruled by quacks Argyria, sinking deeper Argyria, she’s the reaper Break chemical bonds on the battlefield Biocide agent will never be healed Colloidal silver fans the flames Argent complexion straight to the grave

Come gather round, O ye lost and found You will make the sound I want to hear Dummy dictator Whisper to a roar, you will be my whore More, give me more, that’s why you’re here Cinnamon Hitler If this is going on, the world has gone to sleep Bang the gong on the monster from the deep Tangerine obscene, you puff and pout and preen You’re exactly what you seem, Mr Wonderful Imaginary wealth, mercenary self Your plunder and your pelf, I’ve had a bellyful If this is going on, the world has gone to sleep Bang the gong on the monster from the deep, dark Pit of ambition, just the latest edition Stringing you along, read it and weep Brink of insanity, bereft of empathy Your Titanic vanity, and they called it unsinkable As rich as you feel, your fabricated zeal Let’s not make a deal with the unthinkable Cinnamon Hitler

I am a camera Crying oh, how did we come to this? Watch the birdie You’re blowing me a last kiss In the darkened chamber Always young and absolute Caught in amber Click click, snap shoot It’s not the same when you come around Mansion tumbledown, it’s a narcotic feeling Double exposure Look back look ahead Perfect composure Wish it was something I said Gone forever But will you stay the same? Who pulled the lever? We know I’m to blame It’s not the same when you come around Mansion tumbledown, it’s a narcotic feeling All the love has gone underground We don’t make a sound Or walk on the ceiling You were so breathtaking, no mistaking Colour’s fading, image degrading No deleting, repeating, deleting, repeating Deleting, repeating, deleting repeating

Tarajal 04:03
Safe at home, a gate behind a gate behind To ease your mind, razor wire does the trick, I find We don’t want you here You interfere with our skittles and beer Nothing a little water won’t make disappear Bang bang Aww boo-hoo Guess this world wasn’t made for you Go and find some other kind of Xanadu Did the water pull you down? Or rubber bullets flying? Switch it off, turn down the sound There’s gonna be some serious lying about this Here we go again Right on time, here you are with a nursery rhyme Sorry, honey, you’re the only one who thinks it’s funny Shoot to kill, there’s no way to sugar the pill We are no ambassadors of goodwill Did the water pull you down? Or rubber bullets flying? Get a pen and write this down: Where is your mind? Some kind of zombie apocalypse?

Cakewalk 04:17
Cakewalk, cakewalk, an innocent crime? Ho ho, looking so so white and anodyne Dressed up, dolled up, high kicking, so refined Some folks, some folks call this a better time High hat, high step, big joke Hollywood, Hollywood, the golden age What is missing from this page? Pushed out, locked out, erased from centre stage Leave it for the birds in the gilded cage Whitewash, blackface, no face They sold you down the river But you swam back up to the fountain There is no highest bidder Tell it on a mountain Two steps back, two steps back, one to the side You got your pride to keep you fortified Tick tock, ding dong, do you have to tell them the time? So long to keep your eyes on the prize Freedom ride, overcome, I’m a man Don’t move a muscle, don’t make a sound You have no right to fight and stand your ground Hands on the wheel while hounds surround Bound and drowned on the merry-go-round Can’t breathe, black lives, still a man Spent all my life looking up to you Look what they’ve done to you You don’t believe in grudges, do you? Hallelujah!

Oklahoma 04:37
They seemed to be falling from a tree 1911, Laura and L.D. In seeping sepia photography Frozen silhouettes, thistledown dawn Gagged and dragged, nobody to mourn Gabriel, come blow your horn Cos the wind sweeping down the plain Stopped at the bridge and died of shame The waving wheat saw mother and child Like paper kites on utility wire Silent water, chalky sky Smile, spectators, on high, on high Picture postcard, hear the river sigh Hush now, baby, don’t you cry I will sing you a lullaby We’ll be meeting, by and by You would’ve thought this was an end But seething insects rage and rend Red Summer coming around the bend
